Our team of MSPs in the Scottish Parliament, led by Willie Rennie, have shown that this positive, open approach to politics gets results.

We supported the Scottish budget after working with the Scottish Government to secure £40 million of additonal funding for colleges across Scotland.

At a time when young people need help to find work, it made no sense to take away opportunities. We campaigned for more funding for colleges to help people get up and get on and our efforts led to President of the National Union of Students, Liam Burns, saying:

“True to form, the Scottish Liberal Democrats have been incredibly supportive over this issue - gaining such a win for college students helps those in the most need. Thank you for all your work on this.”

Scottish Liberal Democrats are making a difference and punching above our weight.

We will stand up for Scotland's best interests. And where decisions are made that hold Scotland back we will be awkward in our opposition - like we have been over the SNP's centralisation plans for our police force.
