Commenting on the Scottish Whisky Association’s figures showing that exports of Scottish whisky reached record highs last year, Liberal Democrat Enterprise spokesperson Liam McArthur MSP said:

“These are extremely impressive figures. I’m delighted that our national drink is enjoying increasing popularity across the world.

“This will be a welcome boost to the whisky industry after the Chancellor’s smash and grab on the sector in the UK Budget.”
