Campaign Organiser and Senior Secretary

Job Title: Campaign Organiser and senior secretary to Michael Moore MP and the Liberal Democrats

This post will be made up of two part-time positions, combined to create a full time post.

  • 1. Campaign Organiser, Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk
  • 2. Senior Secretary, Michael Moore MP, Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk

    • Location: Based in Galashiels and Edinburgh, but travel around the Borders will be required.

    Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 per annum

    Job Details:

    To be responsible for building the campaigning capacity of the Liberal Democrats in the Roxburgh, Berwickshire and Selkirk constituency, developing and executing campaign plans, ensuring targets are met and communicating with voters (face to face, telephone, online and traditional printed methods).

    The successful applicant will also play a major role in the internal and external communications of Michael Moore MP in his role as Member of Parliament for Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk.

    Working 30 hours/4 days per week for the Liberal Democrats

    • Working with the Scottish Director of Campaigns to develop and implement a campaign plan for the Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk constituency which will include specific and measurable activities.
    • Design and production of campaign literature.
    • Recruit and organise volunteers.
    • Increase party membership and local campaigning infrastructure.
    • Develop online campaigning.

    Working 8 hours/1 day per week working for Michael Moore MP

    • Maintaining and updating all websites and social networking sites
    • Developing online communication with constituents
    • Maintaining regular contact, including handling correspondence with, community groups, businesses and organisations across the Borders.
    • Preparation of newsletters.
