We want to see lower business taxes and less regulation. We want to invest more in skills and infrastructure. Climate change is the biggest threat facing our generation. If we are to take it seriously we need to take action in every area of Scottish society. We want Scotland to become the green energy powerhouse of Europe. The Scottish Liberal Democrats are determined to support this vital investment - and reject new nuclear power in Scotland. We want ambitious targets and action across a number of areas so that by 2050 we should generate all of our electricity from clean, green, renewable sources like wave and tidal power.

We want more local health care with investment in new local health centres so people get faster diagnosis and treatment closer to where they live, with more nurses and dentists to make it happen. We want to improve health and wellbeing in Scotland - freeing people from the chains of ill health, tackling health inequalities and improving quality of life. If we fail to recognise that the environment in which people live, work, study and play has a real impact on their health and wellbeing then we will quite simply fail to improve the health of our nation.
