Daniel Coleman
Candidate for Dundee Central
Daniel Coleman, 29, is from Dundee and has lived in the constituency all his life. He attended St Paul’s RC Academy for secondary education and then studied Law at the University of Dundee, graduating in 2017. He is a seasoned Liberal Democrat campaigner, having stood for the party 6 occasions, most recently in a successful Local Government campaign in 2022 when he was returned as City Councillor for Strathmartine Ward.
Daniel has worked in Holyrood for an MSP and currently works for Angus Council in the Planning Service. He also refereed football in the local area for over 10 years, as well as club secretary for a local chess club. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys watching football, playing golf, bowls and chess and spending as much time with his family as possible.
Upon his selection for candidacy Daniel said: “I am looking forward to taking part in the democratic process once again. I am standing to give the residents of Dundee Central a new voice instead of the same old one trick ponies we have had in the city for too long. It is now time to give this most dreadful Tory Government the boot and say goodbye to failing SNP politicians”.
