Beatrice Wishart

Beatrice Wishart is a Scottish Liberal Democrats politician and Member of the Scottish Parliament for Shetland. She was elected at the 2019 Shetland by-election, after the sitting Liberal Democrat MSP Tavish Scott stepped down.

Born in Lerwick, in the 2017 Scottish local elections she stood as an independent candidate for Shetland Islands Council and was elected as one of four members for Lerwick South. She was appointed deputy convenor. In July 2019 she was selected as a candidate for the Scottish Liberal Democrats, having been associated with the party for the previous decade - running the offices of Alistair Carmichael and Tavish Scott.

Beatrice is the Scottish Liberal Democrat Rural Affairs & Connectivity Spokesperson.
