Cole-Hamilton: 17 years of SNP mismanagement taking its toll on the NHS
Responding to new figures showing only 64% of people attending A&E were seen within the 4 hour target in the week ending 10th November, while 2,901 people waited over 8 hours and 1,184 waited over 12 hours, Scottish Liberal Democrat health spokesperson Alex Cole-Hamilton said:
"After 17 years, SNP mismanagement of the NHS is taking its toll, staff are overwhelmed, and thousands are waiting far too long to be seen.
"Waiting times like this used to be an exception, now they are just the norm. We need to see the Scottish Government finally take some action before the situation worsens this winter.
"Scottish Liberal Democrats would overhaul the SNP’s failed NHS Recovery Plan, get you fast access to GPs and help people leave hospital on time through a new UK-wide minimum wage for care workers that is £2 higher."
