Cole-Hamilton: SNP have spent 18 years promising jam tomorrow

Responding to the First Minister’s press conference, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP said:
“For 18 years, the SNP and John Swinney have been promising jam tomorrow. People won’t believe that another year will see the SNP succeed where they’ve failed for so long.
“Scottish Liberal Democrats are on the up because our local champions are focused on fixing the damage done by the SNP, getting you fast access to your GP and an NHS dentist, tackling violence in schools and easing the cost of living crisis.”
On Grangemouth he added:
“The SNP Government has always been more interested in chasing headlines than it has been in building a proper industrial strategy. It’s the recurring theme of the ferries fiasco, the failure to manufacture the huge windfarms that sit off our coast, and the SNP’s slow-footedness on securing a future for the skilled workers at Grangemouth.
“The crisis at the Scunthorpe steelworks show why we must now be clear-eyed about the risks posed by Chinese involvement in our country’s vital infrastructure and industries.”
