Cole-Hamilton: SNP's never-ending A&E crisis is failing staff
Responding to new figures showing only 63.5% of people attending A&E were seen within the 4 hour target in the week ending 17th November, while 3,147 people waited over 8 hours and 1,394 waited over 12 hours, Scottish Liberal Democrat Leader and health spokesperson Alex Cole-Hamilton said:
"The kind of waiting times we are now seeing at A&E used to only happen during the worst winter crises, now we're seeing them week in, week out.
"This never-ending crisis in A&E that the SNP are presiding over is leaving staff overwhelmed and thousands waiting far too long to be seen. We need to see the Scottish Government finally take some urgent action to address this crisis.
"Scottish Liberal Democrats would overhaul the SNP’s failed NHS Recovery Plan, get you fast access to GPs and help people leave hospital on time through a new UK-wide minimum wage for care workers that is £2 higher."
