Rennie challenges First Minister on “whopping” Scottish Water exec pay

Speaking in Parliament this afternoon, after his party revealed that government-owned Scottish Water has paid out nearly £3m in remuneration to its three executives since 2020, Scottish Liberal Democrat Willie Rennie MSP said:
“Sewage dumped 14,000 times last year. Faecal bacteria 50 times the legal limit in Lower Largo. Dry sewage dumping in St Andrews.
“How on earth can the First Minister justify such whopping bonuses when those Scottish Water bosses are responsible for such failure?”
