Rennie comments on IFS analysis of health and local government cuts

Commenting on the embargoed IFS analysis showing that health and local government are receiving less money than official Scottish Government budget documentation states, Scottish Liberal Democrat economy spokesperson Willie Rennie said:

"The SNP-Green government will try every trick in the book to avoid admitting their serial failure to get the Scottish economy growing.

"They are planning biting cuts to public services and they can't even be honest about it. Scots on waiting lists and in local communities are the ones who will pay the price.

"Scottish Liberal Democrats recognise that the best way to protect public services is with a growing economy. Ministers need to set out long overdue plans for supporting businesses and communities, not imposing brutal cuts on health and local government."
