Rennie: New Qualifications Body is just more of the same
Responding to the news that the chair of the SQA will become the chair of the organisation replacing it, the Qualifications Body, despite previous assurances from the Education Secretary that the creation of the Qualifications Body was not a “rebranding exercise,” Scottish Liberal Democrat education spokesperson Willie Rennie MSP said:
“Scotland’s young people and our education system were promised reform of our national education bodies such as the SQA. It should be a break with the past but the SNP Government have now declared that the boss of the SQA will be the boss of the new qualifications body. This is further evidence that the government isn’t interested in change, just more of the same.”
