Rennie responds to Minister for Transport's ferries comments
Responding to the Minister for Transport, Fiona Hyslop, telling BBC Radio Scotland this morning that she believes “there is a way we can try to support businesses” affected by the ongoing ferry disruption, but that she “can’t tell you what that is just now,” Scottish Liberal Democrat communities spokesperson Willie Rennie MSP said:
“Whatever Fiona Hyslop is considering, it must amount to more than just crumbs off the table.
“Businesses under threat. Incomes lost. Missed hospital appointments. Weddings postponed. Empty shelves. The SNP have added to those woes by sitting idle while Fergusons pay tens of thousands in bonuses to bosses.
“They must now do the right thing and give islanders the compensation they need and deserve.”
