Rennie tops ranking of MSPs
Scottish Liberal Democrat and North East Fife MSP Willie Rennie has come out top in a ranking of MSPs by The Scottish Sun.
The newspaper’s league table was based on the number of times each MSP has contributed to debates, questions and statements in the Holyrood chamber. Mr Rennie came out on top, with 158 contributions in the past year, the only member to reach over 150.
Mr Rennie said:
“When I was three, I used to sit on the garden wall and talk to every passer-by. Some say I’ve never stopped talking since.
“I take the job of representing North East Fife and trying to change the world very seriously. I believe a vital part of that role is questioning government ministers on behalf of my constituents and raising the issues which are important to them in parliamentary debates.
“This is just one part of an MSP’s role. My team and I continue to work on resolving problems and concerns which people approach us with.”
