Kira will address the Scottish Liberal Democrat party conference on Saturday and she will be available for print, radio and TV interviews throughout the day.

Alex Cole-Hamilton said:

“Today’s news is an incredibly exciting and important moment. Kira has done an amazing job of bringing the plight of the Ukrainian people to the world’s attention.

“As we commemorate twelve months since the atrocious and barbarous invasion of Ukraine by Vladimir Putin, we need to support our Ukrainian friends now more than ever.

“I am absolutely delighted that Kira will come and demonstrate the power of liberals standing together in defiance of authoritarianism and brutality.

“Kira stands in solidarity with us in Dundee as we stand in solidarity with her and the people of Ukraine.”
